Blaenau Gwent 1010 Challenge: Take a Walk on the Valley Side
Three Rotarians aim to walk 200,000 steps each to raise money for three charities
Walking a mile in someone else’s shoes is seen as a way to understand the problems of others. So although Richard Bevan, Sharon and Steve Harford are walking in their own shoes, they are doing it to support others. The three Rotarians are hoping to raise as much money as possible for three charities. The three charities are the National Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) Society, which helps people with a form of spinal arthritis, Kidney Wales Foundation, which supports kidney patients and families and promotes excellence in renal research, and Carers Trust South East Wales, which offers support and delivers high quality services for unpaid carers and people with care needs.

Don't Bin Your Bras - Bank Them
Donate your bras to Smalls for All
We are collecting bras for the charity Smalls for All. Please donate your unwanted or unloved bras to this worthy charity, which will distribute them to places in Africa where women cannot afford underwear. In some African countries, wearing a bra gives a woman status and helps to protect her from rape since it gives the impression that the lady comes from a rich family and she is therefore less likely to be attacked. Smash Wedding Boutique have kindly agreed to support us by having a bra bank in their shop in The Arcade, Abertillery. If you have any bras to donate, please deposit them in the bra bank.Thank you very much.
